3 days, 2 nights No trip to Guatemala is complete without seeing Tikal, the world’s greatest testimony to the Mayan civilization. Emerging from a jungle canopy, Tikal’s pyramids tower above the world’s largest site of Mayan ruins of former temples, palaces, stadiums and thermal baths. Tikal, home to over 3,000 buildings, was declared a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1979. DAY 1: We leave from Antigua at 8 a.m. to reach Peten at 5 p.m. The evening is yours to relax before a full day of site-seeing. DAY 2: The day is yours to explore Tikal, the dense jungle canopy or the small pleasant town of Flores. It is best to experience Tikal in the early morning when the wildlife is most active. You can see monkeys, toucans and if you are lucky… maybe a jaguar. DAY 3: Return to “La Union” Price: $190.00 per person with a minimum 6 people.
