The program “The Little Ones” was founded on June 5th, 2006 by Juan Pablo Romero Fuentes (the current general director). The program is supported by young Guatemalan educators and professionals who assist with the positive formation and change of the youth of Guatemala. The program also receives economical assistance from Rising Minds. “The Little Ones” is located in Jocotenango, which is located 10 minutes by bus from Antigua.
The aim and goal of “The Little Ones” is to form positive and productive leaders of the community, the society and the country. The project educates and supports boys, girls and youth from poor families, who excel academically, have an adventures spirit, positive and perseverant, and bright character. Additionally, they assist to integrate families with adaptation problems into the community.
The project is part of the Unidad Técnica Administrativa Sacatepéquez (Technical Administrative Organization of Sacatepéquez) and was founded in 1991 by a group of parents from the community (with little means); as well as the projects “Las Flores” and “Corazón de los Niños”. Proyecto Kubin Junan is located in San Antonio Aguas Calientes, 15 minutes by bus from Antigua.
The purpose and goal of the project is to promote the improvement and well being of youth through educational programs, nutrition, health, as well as through family promotion and recreation. Furthermore, the project promotes family development in the community through educational programs, classes and support.

Furthermore, the project promotes family development in the community through educational programs, classes and support.
The Proyecto Corazón de los Niños includes a medical, dental, and psychiatric clinic; pharmacy, laboratory, and “Escuela para Padres” (School for Parents; as many do not know how to read and write). Additionally, they engage young women in programs, so they will be able lead and teach the other women in the community Furthermore, they offer micro-credit loans to help assist in the start up of businesses for women.

Furthermore, the project promotes family development in the community through educational programs, classes and support.
This project was founded on June 21st, 1980 by Fray Guillermo Bonilla Carvajal and a group of teenagers called Tenerife. It is situated in Antigua, close to the school “La Unión”.
The goal of the project is to provide high quality attention with love and charity to the poor population; there are both permanent and temporary patients needing preventive and specialized services. In addition, they offer hospice, food and clothing, integral, moral and spiritual education in coordination with volunteers and national and foreign entities. The project provides a home and assists children with chronic malnutrition and physical disabilities. Teenagers and adults with physical and mental disabilities are also served as well. Furthermore, they provide free eye surgery (cataracts, strabismus and glaucoma).
Asociación Bendición de Dios was founded on July 15th, 2002 by Julio García González with the support of a Dutch foundation. The association is situated in San Juan Alotenango, 20 minutes from Antigua.
The purpose of the program is to ensure that poor children have the opportunity to complete their primary education.
The project includes a Pre-School, Elementary School, High School, outdoor sports, family market, and library, which is accessible for all people from the community. Asociación Bendición de Dios also offers education to adults and a nutritional snack to the children during their break. Every Saturday morning a group of 12 children receive classes (such as reading, writing, math, language, etc.). All programs of this project are recognized by the Ministry of Education.
