This project was founded on June 21st, 1980 by Fray Guillermo Bonilla Carvajal and a group of teenagers called Tenerife. It is situated in Antigua, close to the school “La Unión”. The goal of the project is to provide high quality attention with love and charity to the poor population; there are both permanent and temporary patients needing preventive and specialized services. In addition, they offer hospice, food and clothing, integral, moral and spiritual education in coordination with volunteers and national and foreign entities. The project provides a home and assists children with chronic malnutrition and physical disabilities. Teenagers and adults with physical and mental disabilities are also served as well. Furthermore, they provide free eye surgery (cataracts, strabismus and glaucoma).
